Re: Suunto Mosquito, Prolific, Yosemite
With another round of driver clean up, a restart, a clean install, a restart and refreshing and selecting the serial port in MacDive (Preferences->Advanced) I was able to get it to work. I can't point specifically to what made it work since I thought I had gone through these steps earlier but someth...

Re: Suunto Mosquito, Prolific, Yosemite
Here's another data point. I can take the same exact hardware (cables, computer and laptop) and download my dives in SDM3.1 running on a Parallel's VM. This rules out any hardware issues and points back to having some sort of corrupt or conflicting drivers on OS X or something just doesn't work with...

Re: Suunto Mosquito, Prolific, Yosemite
Yes, I've verified it is in transfer mode and the battery was replaced last week - when I put it in dive mode it shows 4 bars. The cable has always been a little flakey but I've tried moving it around without luck. I"m going to see if I can get it to work on my PC with SDM just to rule out a bu...

Re: Suunto Mosquito, Prolific, Yosemite
Tried to clean up my previous installs and reinstalled the suggested driver using the link provided but I get the same error. The Mac seems to have a serial device that MacDive sees: /dev/tty.PL2303-000013FA . If I have the serial cable unplugged I get a "no valid serial port error", with ...

Re: Suunto Mosquito, Prolific, Yosemite
Nick, I've tried the driver you recommended above, the paid driver on mac-usb-serial.com, the 1.5.1 driver from Prolific, and the instructions here: http://www.xbsd.nl/2011/07/pl2303-serial-usb-on-osx-lion.html I'm worried at this point I don't have a clean install of any of the drivers and I'm tryi...

Suunto Mosquito, Prolific, Yosemite
Hi, I'm trying to get my Suunto Mosquito and prolific PL2303 USB/RS232 adapter to work on Yosemite with MacDive 2.3.6. This combination was working 5-6 months ago before I upgraded to Yosemite (on 10.9), so I'm assuming the hardware is all still good. I've tried the 3rd party drivers but I'm not sur...

Suunto Mosquito, 10.9, Prolific USB to serial
Hi, Sorry if this has been covered. I've seen a number of similar posts but nothing that seems to address the exact issue. I'm running 10.9.1 on a MacBook Air with Macdive 2.3.0. I'm trying to download from a Suunto Mosquito using a Plugable brand Prolific-based USB to serial adapter and the Suunto ...
