Dive Sites Database
Please consider keeping a database of dive sites. It would make it a lot easier to log dives and would avoid all of us searching for GPS coordinates for dives.

Share Dives
Hello, I just got back from a trip where 3 divers signed up for Mac Dive after seeing how great the app was. It would be nice to be able to share dives with others afterwards. I could see this encouraging adoption by more divers and make the app more fun to use. * Dive site with GPS coordinates * Ph...

Re: New Releases (macOS 2.11.4, iOS 1.4.1)
+1 I'm looking at the Garmin Mk3i and do not want to stop using MacDive. Adding support would be huge. Manual downloads and imports do not seem like a good workaround. Anything in the works to do bulk import of Garmin Descent MK2i with dive names and locations from the cvs instead of the fit file. I...

Re: Garmin MK2i compatability
I was about to sell my Atomic computer and grab a Garmin. Not sure I want to have to manually pull each dive into MacDive.
Is this still an issue in 2023? The Garmin's have been out for several years now.
Thanks!
Taylor

ARM based Macs
Is there any issue running Mac Dive on the new ARM based Macs? My understanding is that it could run as is using Rosetta or can be optimized for the M1 chip.

Junk Data - how to hide
I loaned my computer to a family member. Now when I sync my computer it keeps pulling in her dives. Deleting the dives doesn't help bc they get pulled back in. Is there a way to mark the dives as junk in the software?

Re: Merging Data
This seems needlessly complicated and error prone. I did the steps in the wrong order and the software erased my site locations with the ones from the iPhone that had no data in them.
I think the issue is not having a dedicated MacDive app and utilization of Dropbox or iCloud for data sync.

The map will freeze about 50% of the time and the flag disappears. You have to zoom out to find it and try again until you get lucky and the software cooperates.

Auto service reminders / calculations
Certain equipment should be serviced every X dives or X months. It would be nice to have this triggered in the software.
I also noticed that if you accidentally enter a service date you can't delete the data point and are stuck with junk data in the field...
