iOS app discontinued?
iOS app discontinued?
I have used MacDive for several years and use it as my only log book since a few years back, when my physical log book was stolen. I tried to install the app on a new device yesterday, but can no longer find it in the App Store. Has the app been discontinued? If this is the case what’s in the future for MacDive? Should I try to migrate my dives to a new platform while still possible?

I have not seen anything that indicates definitively that the app is discontinued. That said, it is not possible to find it in the App Store in most countries now. If you have owned it previously you can still install it on a new phone by going into the App Store, touching your profile picture, touching Apps, and then searching for MacDive.
Let us know if you are require additional assistance in finding the app to install it on your new phone.

Any suggestions how to synch a new device (iPad in this case) via Dropbox using existing account and data? The app just hangs every time a synch is attempted. Phones with existing account and already synched work fine fortunately.

Unfortunately, from what I have heard the DropBox integration stopped working a few years ago for new installations / setups. The iCloud sync is still working, which does not help people trying to sync to devices with different iCloud logins unfortunately. Maybe someone has found a work around to get the DropBox sync working but from what I read it was due to changes DropBox made on their end.
