Hi:
I usually use MacDive with an Atomic Aquatics Cobalt, but I use an Oceanic VT3 as a backup computer. Recently did a couple of deep dives in a local quarry (91 feet and 101 feet), and the VT3 logged a low temp. of 44, seen both from the onscreen log and Oceanlog 2 in Windows under vmWare Fusion.
In both cases, MacDive downloaded the dives from the VT3 and gave me the wrong temp.; 64 degrees the first dive, 60 degrees the 2'nd. Very strange. The temp. highs of 86 & 87 are also improbable, since I believe mid.-70's are more likely.
Anybody else have this issue?
Thanks!
Richard.

Please follow the instructions here:

Using the "atom2" test, and email me the results. I will take a look.

Re: Wrong temp.s on Oceanic VT3
Looked in to this after drrich sent his data through. Oceanlog is indeed reporting a low of 44, however the lowest actual temperature sample taken throughout the dive was at 60, which is what MacDive is reporting.
So the temperature was recorded, but MacDive ignores it and instead uses the lowest from the samples. This is probably a more realistic low temperature. The low of 44 is quite a big difference - potentially recorded on the surface or some such.
