Two possible issues I found:
- once a dive is associated to a certification, it is not possible to de-associate it. The certification drop-box menu in the dive edit view does not anymore have the option "no certification selected"
- how to manage Dive Types? it would be great to be able to manage those as Tags

What do you want to do with types?
If you just want to remove them from autocomplete, you can add it to a dive, and then use the dropdown menu on the type and say "remove from all dives", which will delete it.
What do you want to do with certifications?
The trick to work around this for now is to change the diver to someone else, which will effectively clear it. Then change the diver back, and don't select one. But I guess the question is more why you need to clear it in the first place.
