Hello!
I've been trying for some time to migrate my data from my old MacBook Pro running Lion to my new MacBook Air running Mountain Lion.
I already read this article on this forum: http://www.mac-dive.com/help/index.php? ... omputer%3F
And I would say I did as told and even succeeded. All the data is displayed with exception of the pictures.
Of course I copied them. As I copied all files in /Users/my username/Library/Application Support/MacDive/
The JPEGs are even there but somehow they are not displayed...
All I get to see is this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/327 ... ctures.png
As you can see the files are there but seem to be not recognized as JPEGs. But they definitely are because in Finder they are displayed without any issues.
Any hint what's wrong here would be highly appreciated!
Thank you!
Andreas

Re: Problems moving from Lion to Mountain Lion
The most likely problem is that you have a different username on the new computer.
MacDive stores images based on the full path, meaning if you have a different username on another computer then they will not display. I recently updated it to not to do this for the other images (gear, certifications etc) but haven't yet done it for the normal images. It's on the todo list. Unfortunately this needs to be tested thoroughly, as MacDive can also reference images from an existing location (eg in iPhoto or some other Pictures area).
For now, you would need to add the images back on the new computer so that the path is stored correctly. Apologies for the inconvenience.

To add slightly, I can probably fix this for you manually. You can contact me via email and I can look at fixing your MacDive data up as a one-off.

Yes, I've created a new username on the new computer.
So that is what's causing the trouble!
Thank you for offering to fix this manually for me.
If the problem is going to be solved in an update I can wait for it and better let you work on your to do list.

Re: Problems moving from Lion to Mountain Lion
If you have already moved computers, it's probably better if I fix it manually so that things work as expected. Otherwise when there is an update, it will potentially still not work since the images wouldn't be where they were supposed to be etc.
