Hi Nick,
in Divelog on my iphone and ipad i noticed that since a new release you can add dive trips. And also dive centers.
When you add a trip you can set the start and end date, destination, operator and buddies.
When you have entered a dive trip (and operator), and you are editing a dive, you can add that dive to a certain trip.
Do you have any intentions for a future update to sync this information (now the info is lost when syncing because Macdive is the master file) and make use of it?
It would be nice if there would be a "dive trips" area in the navigation column on the left side of the screen, where you would see all your trips, and clicking on one of them revealed all the dives made on that trip (in the same way it does now when you click on a country flag in the navigation column for example).
Maybe this would be a nice feature to add someday.

Re: Divetrips and divecenter(s)
I'm looking in to doing something like this.
However the workaround for now is to use tags. You can tag your trips whatever you like (eg Anilao 2013) and then create a smart log to look for that. Then you get the "trip" in your side bar as you're after. This means you can just keep the ones you care about, too.
But as I said, I'm looking in to doing something, preferably to sync with dive log correctly.
