Cressi Leonardo, Error on MacOS Yosemite

Post by CHRIBA »

I bought the multisuser-license, beacause the cressi software doesn't connect to the pc-link-device. But it seems, I have the same error with the MacDive-Software.

I'm using OS X Yosemite
Version 10.10.1
iMac 2,9 GHz Intel Core 5
Ram 8 GB

I have installed the Cressi-USB-Driver from the MacDive-Site
I restartet the iMac
I switched the Leonardo to PC-Link-Mode --->Download Dives---> Window opens: Import Error/Could not detect a valid serial port

The top thread in this very forum contains a discussion of this exact issue:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1729

It seems people are having trouble, but attempting a bunch of times can help. We're looking in to it. Try the suggestions there for the meantime and let me know how you get on.

Thanks

It seems, there is no chance to get the leonardo running on OS 10.10 Yosemite.
It's bad...I paid 40 € for nothing.

Did you try any of the suggestions in the other thread? It sounds like everyone else is eventually having success, it's just a bit intermittent.

Otherwise if you would like a refund, email support.

Thanks.

Nick, I tried all the suggestions.... I' dont want a refund, thanks a lot :)
The 2nd Problem is, also the Cressi Software doesn't work on Yosemite.....iMac an MacBook Air are runnig with Yosemite. The USB port is not recognized.
Only solution at the moment: I tried MacDive on the MacBook Pro of my son, there's OS 10.9 running. No major problems, you have only to choose the right USB port.
I hope that the software will be further developed and an update is coming.

It could be a driver problem. In which case, once that is updated things will just start working.

At least you can use it on your 10.9 machine, that's something. You can always copy the data back to your machine (or once I finish the cloud sync, it will be automatic). Annoying but at least it is a workaround for now!

Hey Chriba

I had the same problem when i upgraded to yosemite, how i fixed it was by uninstallinf the fdti drivers via terminal, restart, then install the drivers provided by mac-dive. After that i got it working

Follow the instructions provided in this pdf http://www.ftdichip.com/Support/Documen ... AC_OSX.pdf
