I have been trying for several years on and off to download my Mosquito data without success.
I have two new computers (one pc running windows 7 and one mac running the latest OS X) and have Suunto's official cable for connection.
When trying to download, I get an error code -7 which is the same error I get even if it's not connected.
I think I've updated the USB drivers (please advise) and I chose whatever port was available to use in the preferences to no avail.
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated (and I will promptly pay for the software for future use).
Thank you,
Alfredo

Re: Unable to download Suunto Mosquito data
Hi, the typical reason for this is that your mosquito is not in PC transfer mode. The next most common reason is a low battery.
Which usb driver did you install?
The reason the error is the same even if the computer is not attached is that you're talking to the cable, not the computer itself. So no PC transfer mode and no computer plugged in are the same thing, effectively.
Having Suuntos software open at the same time can cause this also. Ensure it is not running.

Re: Unable to download Suunto Mosquito data
Thank you for the fast reply.
Upon closer inspection I see that the Suunto connector is not making a full contact with the contacts, so I have to assume it is a defective unit. I'll see when I can find another one or go back to the store for a replacement.
The driver I installed, by the way, was: FTDIUSBSerialDriver_v2_2_18.dmg
Thanks again...
