Hi. I just bought a Oceanic pro plus 2.1 dive computer and I have a question that someone familiar with the computer may be of some help. Yesterday I did a dive at a local spring 25 ft X 40 minutes. I should have hrs of bottom time at that depth. My N2 uptake bar graph just had 2 marks on it...plenty of time according to the bar graph. But my "Bottom time remaining" on the main screen said 16 minutes left half way into the dive! 16 minutes left on a 25 ft dive for 20 minutes???!!! I have it set on "air". No complicated gas mix. I will keep studying it but can anyone show me where I making a mistake?
Oceanic has been 0 help. I have been trying to communicate with them with NO response regarding getting an access code for the free online computer class. Multiple emails sent by me. No answers.
Can anyone help? Thanks!

Re: oceanic pro plus 2.1 question
I'm not sure that anyone other than Oceanic can realistically answer your question with any authority. Their deco algorithms are proprietary as far as I'm aware.
Re: oceanic pro plus 2.1 question
Thanks. Not sure if I can get any response from them though.
Re: oceanic pro plus 2.1 question
OK. Got it. I had already read the owners manual through, but went back again and found the answer to my dilemma. The pro plus 2 constantly watches 3 things and posts the most important or critical info at that time. What was showing as 16 minutes left was not my allowable bottom time but my air time remaining info. I had my end psi alarm set at 500 psi and it was showing me I had 16 min of ATR left while making a safe ascent with 500 psi left in my tank at end of dive. I though it was showing me 16 min allowable no-decompressing time remaining. Lesson? Read and re-read your computer manual! Its there for you.
( this was a local shallow dive and I was just burning off the remaining 1100 psi left over from a previous dive at another location that week.....so I hit 500 psi 20min or so into this dive....thus the alarm )
I added this incase someone else had the same question.
