I've the Custom Idea cable, and the Silicon Labs device drivers. My computer (OS X 10.11.5) sees de cable:
/dev/tty.SLAB_USBtoUART
When I try to download dives from the Vyper (after enabling "TR PC" mode), it quits with:
Failed to read header information (Error Code: -7)
I'm running 2.6.5, your help will be appreciated.

Hello there,
Usually this would be caused by low battery or a bad connection/faulty cable.
Has the cable worked previously? Does it work with Suunto Dive Manager?

Yes, this used to work, the same cable and the same Vyper.
I haven't tried the Suunto DM, but I did try DiveLog on a Windows system, with the same cable, and it worked. I just fired up the dctool utility, I will email you the .log and .bin files when I have them.

I see this error on my Suunto Vyper if I select TR-PC mode but forget to push the mode button to actually select it. (Not to say that's what's going on in your case, but it's worth a double-check.)
