It should have worked, unless the latest dive wasn't something you had merged, so macdive "found" it and thought it was finished.

appreciate it especially sorting out two at a time I got totally confused as to who was answering who's post.
Anyway
I've done the delete everything and start again thing
A happy hour or two with pen and paper writing down dives and gas pressures and then re-entering.
I now make sure I do not even touch MacDive late at night or early in the morning
Being tired + computers = cock ups
