Ok, I am out on a dive, I take my iPad Mini with all my sync logbook etc, I enter all the information as a new dive, i take photos, I get the signature from the company etc etc.

I get back to my hotel where I plug in and download my dive profile from my trusty Suunto. now, this is where I get confused?

How can i add the dive profile from my computer, to ALLLLLLL the information that I gathered when I was out (all my new dive buddies, areas the works), short of taking my MacBook Pro on all my dives I can't seem to merge the two bits of data.

It records and accepts the dive data and the dive log but won't merge or combine?

Please help.

1. Save all your dive details on your iOS device while you're out
2. Get home, download your dive computer to MacDive
3. Sync the two

Read the help which explains it in more detail. You'll want to make sure the times match etc, and then in the Dives summary (of the sync screen) you should see the "Sync" icon rather than "Add", which is also explained in the help with screenshots.

The common problems with matching are either that your dive times are different, or you entered a dive computer into Dive Log which does not exactly match the one in MacDive. Best is to leave the dive computer field blank in Dive Log and let MacDive fill it out for you when it merges.
