Merge dives

I just came back from a dive trip where I logged my dives on Dive Log on my iPad. I have successfully synced these with MacDive, and I have also imported the same dives from my Shearwater Petrel.

Is there a way to merge these dives? So that I get the profile data from the Petrel, and the dive site and dive description from Dive Log? I tried selecting one Petrel dive and the accompanying Dive Log dive, and did a Join Selected Dives, but nothing happened...

That's possible, but you have to do it the other way around. First you should download your dive computer's info into Macdive.
Then, you should sync your dive log with Macdive. If the timestamps of two dives (one that is in Macdive and came from your computer, and one that comes from dive log) match, they will be merged.

Thanks! So, after a bit of selective syncing and manual work I managed to get most of that merging done.

So, that merge feature is under the hood somewhere, it would be fantastic if that could be added as a selective menu option as well...
