Hell all..
I am new to a mac so please bear with me...
I have three computers for my 2 sons and myself... (2 Cobra3's) and a new Oceanic PP3 for my younger son.
I can't get the Oceanic PP3 to work at all... I downloaded the Driver per the instructions and could not get a "/dev" directory..
So I didn't even get to part 2 "Installing the D2xx Driver..
I came to the forum and read this help area and did what I thought was correct, but still no connection..
Here is what my MacBook is telling me....

Re: Oceanic PP3
Hi,
The d2xx driver is incorrect, ignore it. It looks like you have installed the other one though, which is all you need.
There is no need to run these instructions - what is the problem you are having in MacDive?

Re: Oceanic PP3
The correct driver is moving in the right direction..
The PP3 doesn't seem to connect to the Mac. I get the error,
"Failed Connectivity due to Computer Serial Port... /dev/tty.usbsserial-20030001" Error code -7
Thanks

Re: Oceanic PP3
I think I got it... The cable is very touchy and after almost an hour, it connected..
I wish I knew beforehand the PP3 (and maybe others) had somewhat of a finicky connector. I would have looked at another computer. For over $600 for the unit, quick release and data cable, you would think they would have built a better mousetrap.
I bought this unit as it received very good reviews as a dive computer...
At least I know things work...

Re: Oceanic PP3
Cool, glad you got it sorted. The most common issue with a Pro Plus (2 or 3) is plugging the cable in upside down. It fits both ways, but only works one way. Finicky indeed. But once you know, it gets easier.
