MacDive will not open and I have an error message

MacDive failed to update its Database. Please contact support.
I was running 2.2.5 and upgraded to Maverics. I found the link for the Beta and tried to run the patch. Now it will not open and I have rebooted the computer.
If I try to open from applications I get that message above. If I click on the download then I get 2.3.1 to open. However, the data in applications still says 2.2.5
Do I have some type of merge issue?
