Issue with time entry in Bottom Time

I've found some odd behavior...

After syncing MacDive to Dive Log on my iPhone using WiFi, I noticed some of the dives had a duration of only 1 minute. At first I thought it was a sync problem, because they looked okay (at quick glance) in MacDive.

However, after more careful inspection I realized that if dive bottom time durations are entered in "HH:MM:SS" format, they don't get saved properly and MacDive drops the trailing :SS off... so a dive of 01:03:00 (1 hour, 3 minutes) becomes 01:03 (1 minute, 3 seconds).

I had to enter the duration as 63:00 in order to get it to save properly. Maybe this is by design, but it sure seems weird to me. :?

MacDive is just displaying it differently. It displays durations as MM:SS, and surface intervals as HH:MM. Nothing is being trimmed, it's just a difference in display. There was another thread about this a couple of days ago.

The solution is probably to make them both HH:MM:SS to avoid this confusion.

Forgive me, but I'm not sure that's correct.

I just did another test and when entering "01:03:00" in the Bottom Time entry field, then saving the record and coming back to it the Summary page says "1 second" and when I went to edit it, the Bottom Time entry field only had 00:01 in it. I was wrong in the original post, it seems it loses the HH: part instead.

Here are screenshots of what I'm seeing here...

Thanks, like I said, not a big deal since entering 63:00 works, but it does seem odd and may cause problems during imports.
