Error Code -9

Received Error Code -9 when downloading my latest dives on a Oceanic Pro Plus 3. Using the latest version of Macdive 2.3.5 on a Macbook Pro 2013, Yosemite 10.10.1. It downloaded 6 dives, numbered them all 0. There are a few more dives than that. I can't find anything related to that error. Any help?

Hello,

Keep in mind that the Pro Plus 3 has a *very* limited memory. There may only be 6 dives on it, this is not necessarily incorrect. The help explains this in more detail, but even though you might "see" them on the device itself this does not mean the profiles are available to download.

However, you shouldn't typically receive that error. Have you tried downloading again? Maybe the cable was knocked. You would likely want to change your import mode to "Any dives that have not been imported" or else it will just immediately finish as it finds the most recent dive. Or, you can delete the ones you just imported and try again. Do you have a low battery? This can also cause intermittent download problems.

If you continue to receive the error I would need to investigate your data further. See the stickied topic "How to report dive computer problems", follow the instructions using the "atom2" test and email me the results.

But, as above, please keep in mind that the memory is very, very limited and you may only have a small number of dives on the device. Particularly if you use a small sample rate, which I believe the Pro Plus 3 has by default.
