App Crash while importing logbook on Mac from old version

G'day

I have not been diving for almost 4 years now but I am now about to leave for Lembeh. Got my gear and photo equipment ready and just checked MacDive on my Macbook. Found out that the Macdive app is not installed and remembered "Yeah right, I had that HDD crash..." Therefore, I just downloaded and installed the recent MacDive version, lucky me I back-upped the key-file. So I now have a registered version up and running. Searched for a backup of my old logbook and found a .csv file.

And here comes the issue... I started MacDive and pulled the .csv file onto the MacDive but this only results in a crash.

What can I do? Shall I provide the crash report?

I do hope that the data is not lost. :?

Kind regards
chdiver

Hi,

CSV files are not supported. A crash is not ideal, but also not surprising.

Hm. I thought if I can export to CSV I could import CSV as well. At least MacDive converted the data to the CSV format.

Anyway, how can I convert to an importable format?

Sorry, I don't have a way to convert it.

MacDive will export and import it's own XML files, or the best thing to do is back up the actual data files (database, images, etc). CSV was always just a quick export format for people to use for other things. It was never intended to be used as a backup.
