When trying to download my dives from various Suunto computers I don't seem to get all dives..

Gekko : 225 dives downloads 77 to macdive
Mosquito : 130 dives downloads 49 to macdive

I have been into preferences and unchecked the 'only new dives' option..

What gives ?

Using the following combos..

Model Name: Mac Pro
Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
Processor Speed: 3 GHz
Number Of Processors: 2
Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
Memory: 12 GB

OSX : 10.6.4

VCP Driver 2.2.1.4 64bit

Using an official Suunto USB cable..

Most likely, your dive computer does not have profile data for all the dives anymore. The amount of memory is limited, and once it is full, the dive computer will start to overwrite the oldest dives. It does keep statistics (number of dives, maximum depth, etc) for all the dives, and that's probably why you think it should download more.

If you follow the procedure in this topic: http://www.mac-dive.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=407 and send us the memory dump, we can confirm whether your dive computer has already overwritten old dives or not.

right.. that makes sense..

we have two gekko's and they both only downloaded 77 dives..

I'll do the memory dump thing when I get a minute, but, now you remind me, I did know about the overwriting behaviour.
