I have recently returned to diving after a 8yr break. I reinstalled Macdive on both Macbook and iPhone. The iPhone connected to my old database immediately - all my dives are there and I have synced new dives from last week.

On my Macbook Macdive it's blank. So I am keen to reconnect the Macbook version to the right file so they are synced.

How do I find the file that my iPhone is connecting to?

If it helps, iCloud works on my iPhone but it's blocked on my laptop by work. I assume this has something to do with it but not 100%. And if so, is there a workaround?

If you cannot sync via iCloud due to some company policy on your laptop, you'll have to sync manually somehow.

This is how I quickly tried it:

1) On theIPhone open MacDive Go to the settings and go down until you see the option "Send Database"
-> It will open a new email and attach the macdvie.sqlite file (the db) into an email - Careful the file can be large if you have a lot of data in it (dives, photos, etc.)
2) Change the recipient to send it to you, or the email linked to your laptop (by default it sent to the support of MacDive)
3) On the laptop, open macdive go to settings and click "Show MacDive Folder in Finder"
4) Replace the macdive.sqlite with the one from the email.
5) Restart MacDive on your laptop
