Cannot Connect to My Aeris CompuMask

Here's the never ending error dialog" Failed connecting to dive computer on serial port '/dev/tty.usbserial-20030001' (Error Code: -5) "
I cannot connect my Intel Mac running 10.6.6.
Yes, I downloaded and installed the driver(s).....
Haven't been able to connect for the past couple months.....
Anyone able to help?

Nope, the battery is just fine.
I haven't been able to connect since the last update was published.........
Very frustrating.
I now have 5 dives to download....

Are you sure the connection is good, and you're not going through a USB hub?
Assuming it used to work, so has anything changed?
Can you also try the atom2 test following these instructions:

I've tried it with a usb hub and without a usb hub.
Connection is o.k, because I can use windows with parallels and it goes to pc mode countdown, but doesn't download there either.
When I get some time, I'll go through the other protocol you listed in the email, but I am just about exhausted trying it....
Hopefully, I'll have time late tonight tomorrow or the next day.....

It doesn't work with Oceanlog either ?
Do you know anyone else that has a cable you could borrow to make sure it's not faulty?

No, I don't know anyone else that bought the CompuMask and cable....
What is OceanLog?
Do you have a link?
I got it to work 5 or 6 times before the last update on both the mac and pc side.
Since then, it has not downloaded and on the pc side, when it goes to pc mode, the countdown completes and it doesn't allow me to connect.

Oops, I meant the Aeris software not Oceanlog. Same thing though.
Basically, I was asking if it works with the official windows aeris software ?
If not, I would suspect either low battery or a faulty cable if it used to work. If you have another cable, it's easy enough to test.

I'll try to slightly polish the 3 mini-leads protruding from the HUD side connector and polish the 3 on the cable....
If that doesn't work, I'll slit my wrists for shark bait....oh wait, my divorce attorney already did that for me.

Apparently, the pins inside the mask developed a small layer of oxidation because I stuck my finger nail in there, scratched the tips and now it works GREAT!
Now can you fix the federal budget deficit and how are you with healthcare?
