Important Note

As most of these data files come from external sources (Suunto Dive Manager, Oceanlog etc) they are subject to change. If you have issues, please send a sample file to support@mac-dive.com along with a description of the problem.

Currently the Oceanic/Aeris importer is ropey. This is due to subtle differences between the output files that various versions of Oceanlog/Aeris create. Don't panic! Usually it's quick and easy to fix problems, provided you can send through the file that is causing your issue for me to look at.

Howto

Easy - drag and drop one of these files on to MacDive.

Alternatively, if you want to do it the hard way, you can select File -> Download Dives -> File Formats, then choose the appropriate format and navigate to it.

File Formats

Liquivision Dive Log (.lvd) Files

MacDive can now read LVD files from Liquivisions software.

Mac Dive Log XML

MacDive can read Mac Dive Log's XML file format.

Oceanic/Aeris .TXT Files

These files can be exported from the Oceanic or Aeris windows applications, if you would like to transfer your existing data into MacDive. Export them as CSV files (comma separated). You can then simply drag and drop them onto MacDive, or choose File -> Download Dives -> File Formats -> Oceanic (.txt) from the menu.

Shearwater XML Files

You can export data from Shearwater's software and you can drag these on to MacDive.

Suunto Dive Manager (.SDE) Logbooks

You can export an .SDE file from suunto dive manager by choosing Tools -> Export. Again, simply drag and drop this file (or use the download menu) to add the dives to MacDive.

UDCF Files

Again - drag and drop a UDCF file onto macdive, or use the Import menu if you prefer.

UDDF Files

Same as UDCF, you can drag and drop UDDF files.
